Meet the Publisher

Originally from New Jersey, I’ve lived in Chesterton, Indiana for the past 16 years. My husband Paul and I have been married for 21 years, and we have two children: Richard, 19, who has Down syndrome, and Katherine, 17, who has always been an incredible sister and daughter. 



Our family is actively involved in the Porter County Special Olympics. My husband Paul coaches both basketball and golf and we as a family volunteer at many other events throughout the year. Richard has thrived in Special Olympics and is the recipient of many medals! One of our annual traditions is participating in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge fundraiser. We have raised enough funds to be called “Super Plungers,” which means jumping into the freezing water twice — not sure that’s a title we should brag about, but it’s all for a good cause and we’re proud to be part of it.

I’ve been a Publisher and Owner with N2 for the past 10 years. Starting Uniquely You Magazine felt like a natural next step. As a parent of a child with special needs, I understand how challenging it can be to find answers, resources, and support. There are moments when you don’t know where to turn, and that can be isolating.

With Uniquely You, I want to help change that, by creating a publication that highlights the individuals in our community who are often overlooked, and by offering families in Northwest Indiana practical tools, stories, and connections that make a difference.

This magazine is for those who need to know they’re not alone, and that there are people and communities ready to support them every step of the way.
